Bedside Table

The focus on connection is the most powerful and evident aspect of this table.  The legs are constructed with maple butcher block while the two tabletop surfaces utilize ¾” birch plywood.  Steel threaded rods run vertically through the legs connecting them to the two surfaces. These rods act as a major unifying element, both structurally as well as visually.

The table is a manageable size, standing just over two feet high.  The top surface is 18”x18” while the lower surface is 24”x18”.  The addition of the lower surface increases the usable space, while keeping the overall footprint minimal.
